Erika is an interdisciplinary artist, author, and entrepreneur, often intersecting the arts and wellness through song, programs, and events. As an avid lover of Jazz & poetry, holistic wellness, and youth development, Erika has forged a creative professional path over the past decade that is rooted in her faith, passion to help others to heal, and purpose.
Erika's debut EP, Rx Melodies (Prescription Melodies) (2022), is a testament to her artistry, along with Rx Conversations, a virtual series of encouraging messages. She has performed original works at the Rubber City Jazz Festival in addition to performing at various local Pittsburgh venues.
Erika is most recently a 2023-2025 recipient of the Advancing Black Arts in Pittsburgh Grant and the Artist Exposure Grant from the Pittsburgh Foundation. She is also the founder of Beata Beatus Co., a social enterprise for youth development, where she has created the Healing Intensive Creative Arts Program and authored "The Encouragement Guide", an activity journal for adolescent girls.
